Castles Defense - Concentric Circles of Defense
Concentric Circles of Defense- This method can be seen in many medieval castles throughout the world. This method is a series of traps which work their way in throughout the castle. For example their could be trap doors, moats, draw bridges and small holes where archers could shot an arrow without being seen, if you look above this castles floor plan is a great example of the concentric circles of defense.
Castles Defense - Moat
Moat- a moat is a body of water which surrounds the castle. A moat is thought as an obsticle that has to be crossed, but that is just one of the purposes of a moat. A moat was also a defensive tool when the enemy decides to dig their way into the castle, so that once the enemy gets far enough the moat will colapse on them.
